Man Pays Pal $100 to Bring Him a Woman; Family Hears Door Open, Alarm Sound: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

 

A Royalton Road man went to police after his ex-friend took $100, promising to bring him a girl for sex.

Instead, the old pal took the money and never returned.

The victim, who went to the police station to make a report Oct. 16, said he texted the guy about getting his money back, but got a threat back in return.

A Compass Point Drive family had some frightening moments about 8 p.m. Oct. 15 when they heard a door open, then their alarm went off.

The residents called police from the master bedroom.

An officer checked the outside and inside and found no intruders. He did find that the door between the house and garage wasn't closed all the way, which was probably what set off the alarm.

Young Republican?

An Eagles Nest Circle resident saw a teenager take her Obama sign from her front yard about 2 p.m. Oct. 18.

A different political sign was also taken last week.

Midnight Visitor

Someone pounded on the front door of a house on Saratoga Trail about 3:45 a.m. Oct. 18.

When the resident went down to look, no one was there.

Mischief

Someone shot a paintball at a house on Pebble Brook Lane the morning of Oct. 17.

Disturbance

Four men created a disturbance on Homestead Park about 2 a.m. Oct. 15, yelling at each other in the street.

Police said the men were having a disagreement over a laptop. They had already left when officers arrived.
