Man Who Shot Himself In Brunswick Giant Eagle Dead, Police Say

Brunswick police said no one else was hurt during the incident.

BRUNSWICK, OH — The man who shot himself inside the Brunswick Giant Eagle on Tuesday has died, police announced.

According to police, the man walked into the grocery store and shot himself around 2:45 p.m. No one else was hurt during the incident.

The Medina County Coroner's Office investigated the death and confirmed the man had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police said their investigation revealed the man may have been "distraught over relationship issues."

The Brunswick police department said that anyone that saw the incident and is need of assistance, can call 211.

The Giant Eagle in Brunswick temporarily closed on Tuesday. Police remained at the store hours after the incident. The store resumed normal operations on Wednesday morning.
