“Meet Six Women Who Made a Difference”

March 27th 7-9 P.M. Tri-C Westshore Campus

Presented by: Betty Zak

Join us in March for exclusive fundraising events commemorating Women’s History Month. Proceeds will fund the creation of TRAIL MAGIC -- the PBS documentary about Emma Gatewood,  the first woman to solo thru-hike the Appalachian Trail in 1955 at the age of 67.

Sponsored by Women Making Moves and Eden Valley, each week during March will spotlight one or more historic heroines! Presentations will take place at 7p.m. and will include the show and light refreshments. Each week will be a different topic at a different location at Cuyahoga Community and Lorain County Community College.

Strongsville resident, Betty Zak, will present the culminating program titled “Six Women Who Made a Difference” on Thursday, March 27th at 7 P.M. at Tri-C Westshore Campus. Zak is a presenter, performer, business woman and Area Chair-Lead Faculty for the College of Humanities and Sciences at the University of Phoenix, Cleveland Campus. Besides having taught at CWRU, Notre Dame College and Tri-C, she has presented at international conferences, was named to Ohio Magazine's College/University Excellence in Education list in 2007 and 2010 and has been granted the YWCA Woman of Professional Excellence Award for her achievements.
