Memorial Services are Thursday for Kate and Kerri Allen

A memorial service for Kate and Kerri Allen is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 400 N. Broadway St., Medina.

Kate, 42, and Kerri, 10, of Shurmer Road, in Brooklyn April 12.

Kevin Allen gunned down his wife and both daughters after Kate said she was leaving him. Kayla Allen, a fifth-grader at Chapman Elementary, remains in critical condition at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Police said Kevin Allen chased his daughters into a restroom when they ran from him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to the Kayla Allen Benefit Fund at any Fifth Third Bank or mailed to Fifth Third Bank, care of Kayla Allen Benefit Fund, 4023 Center Rd., Brunswick, OH 44212.
