Metroparks Swimming Areas Opening Soon

Visitors can make a splash this summer at any of the four Cleveland Metroparks swimming areas.

The first opens May 26; the rest follow June 2.

LEDGE POOL & RECREATION AREA: MAY 26 - AUG. 19 * PAID ADMISSION

11 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily at Hinckley Reservation

Ledge Pool & Recreation Area features the heated 80-by-100-foot pool, Ledge Rock Café concession stand, shore fishing at Ledge Lake, sand volleyball and basketball courts, and reservable picnic areas. Swimming lessons and birthday party packages are also available. Ledge Pool & Recreation Area is located at 1151 Ledge Road, between Kellogg and State roads in Hinckley Reservation in HinckleyTownship.

The pool can be used by daily admission fee or season pass:

ADMISSION: Ages 12 to 61 is $5; ages 6 to 12 is $4; 5 and under or 62 and over, free. Season passes for a Strongsville individual are $70, or $110 or a family (two adults and two children under 21 in the same household).

 HUNTINGTON BEACH: JUNE 2 - AUG. 12

AND WEEKENDS THROUGH LABOR DAY, SEPT. 3 * Free

11 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily at Huntington Reservation

Discover the beauty of Huntington Beach, located on the shores of Lake Erie in Bay Village, while enjoying the surf, sand, sun, and ever-changing views of the lake, and a concession stand on the bluff above. Huntington Beach is located off Lake Road in Huntington Reservation, between Dover Center and Crocker-Bassett roads in Bay Village.

HINCKLEY LAKE SWIMMING AREA: JUNE 2 - AUG. 12 * Free

11 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily at Hinckley Reservation

Hinckley Lake Swimming Area features picnic areas, grills, a concession area, a waterfall dam, and more! Hinckley Lake Swimming Area is located off Bellus Road in Hinckley Reservation, between West and East drives, south of Route 303 in Hinckley Township.

WALLACE LAKE SWIMMING AREA: JUNE 2 - AUG. 12 * Free

11 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily at Mill Stream Run Reservation

Wallace Lake Swimming Area features a relaxing beach, the Quarry Rock Café concession stand, paddleboat and kayak rentals (nominal fee), and a baseball field. Wallace Lake is located off Valley Parkway in Mill Stream Run Reservation, south of Bagley Road in Berea.

Lifeguards are on duty at all four swimming areas during posted swimming hours.
