Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

  1. The Ohio Department of Health reports that the rate of new Monkeypox cases in Cuyahoga County has slowed. Almost half of all Ohio cases were found in the county. According to the department, the state's vaccine supply has greatly improved. The vaccine can now be delivered to a local health jurisdiction within one business day. (Columbus Dispatch)
  2. Cleveland Water has replaced all lead or lead-contaminated water lines at Cuyahoga County's state-licensed child care facilities. The effort was first started in July 2021. Over half of all inspected lines contained lead or were lead-contaminated. The project has greatly improved the county's access to water safety resources through the state's Department of Health.
