National Music Award Given To Strongsville Schools
"This success is in part due to strong support from our parents, schools, and community," said Chris Chidsey.

From Strongsville City Schools: Strongsville City Schools has been honored with the “Best Communities for Music Education” designation from The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. This is the fifth straight year the District has earned this distinction. Strongsville is one of 583 school districts nationwide to be recognized by NAMM, and one of just 13 school districts in Northeast Ohio to receive this prestigious award in 2018.
The “Best Communities for Music Education” designation recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of the curriculum. Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education. These districts and schools set the bar in offering students access to comprehensive music education.
"Strongsville has a comprehensive music program from preschool to 12th grade. We are proud of our student accomplishments in all music disciplines throughout every grade. This success is in part due to strong support from our parents, schools, and community,” said Chris Chidsey, Strongsville Middle School Band Director and Assistant Director for the Strongsville High School Marching Mustangs.
