New Board Of Education Member Approved In Strongsville
Sherry Buckner-Sallee is the newest member of the Strongsville Board of Education. She replaces George Grozan, who recently resigned.
STRONGSVILLE, OH — Sherry Buckner-Sallee is the newest member of the Strongsville Board of Education. She replaces George Grozan, who recently resigned.
The board voted unanimously in favor of Buckner-Sallee. Her term will run through Dec. 31, 2021. If she wants to continue serving on the board, she will then have to run for reelection in November 2021.
“I am excited to be a new member of the Strongsville City Schools Board of Education. I look forward to working with my fellow Board members to lead us in the right direction through these uncertain times and into the future. I would like to thank my family and the Board for their support,” said Buckner-Sallee.

Grozan resigned his position with the board in early June. He said he was being pulled away due to family commitments. During his six-year tenure on the board, Grozan sat on the Facilities Development committee and played a key part in the construction of the new middle school and the renovation of the high school.
