New President, VP For Strongsville Board Of Education
Mr. Carl Naso and Col. Duke Evans will lead Strongsville's Board of Education in 2018 as President and Vice President, respectively.

STRONGSVILLE, OH - From Strongsville City Schools: Strongsville’s Board of Education elected its President and Vice President at last week’s first meeting of 2018. Mr. Carl Naso was voted as President and Col. Duke Evans was voted as Vice President for this upcoming year. This is the fifth year Mr. Naso will serve as Board President, and the first year Col. Evans will serve in his leadership position. Mr. George Grozan, Mrs. Jane Ludwig, and Mr. Richard Micko are the other elected members of Strongsville’s Board of Education. At this same meeting, both Col. Evans and Mr. Grozan were sworn in for their second 4-year term on the Board, after being successfully re-elected by Strongsville voters in last November’s election.
Mr. Carl Naso was appointed to the Board in January, 2011 and was re-elected to his second term in November, 2015. Mr. Naso is a Certified Public Accountant with over thirty years of financial leadership experience and is currently the CFO of the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority. He is a graduate of Kent State University where he attended on a wrestling scholarship. Mr. Naso is married and has one daughter who is attending Strongsville High School.
Colonel Duke Evans (USAF, ret.) was elected to the Board in 2013. A resident of Strongsville since 1998, Colonel Evans brings to the Board extensive leadership experience in both the military and business worlds. Colonel Evans is a Command Pilot and a veteran of Desert Storm and Desert Strike. A USAF Academy graduate, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Science, and a Master’s Degree Equivalent in National Security Strategy.“I appreciate the opportunity to serve as Board President again for the upcoming year.
