At the time, Councilman at large Ken Dooner said the restaurant would be owned by Hospitality Restaurants of Cleveland, which operates Delmonico's Steakhouse in Independence, Salmon Dave's in Rocky River, The Cabin Club in Westlake, Blue Point Grill in downtown Cleveland and Rosewood Grill in Hudson, as well as the Thirsty Parrot nightclub in downtown Cleveland.
Dooner said the company runs only "top flight" restaurants.
Schindler said the Strongsville location was chosen for more than just its busy Royalton Road-I-71 intersection.
“We were immediately drawn to the look and feel of the property with its dramatic landscaping and eclectic architecture," he said
The building the restaurant will occupy features 18-foot ceilings, a 30-foot tall glass tower and a sweeping outdoor patio area, framed by massive boulder walls and cedar pergolas.
"It is set into the wooded landscape beautifully. It provides an absolutely stunning setting for the type of spirited dining venues we operate," Schindler said.
The Plaza at SouthPark also hosts , , , and the new hibachi restaurant.
Schindler said several concepts for the Strongsville location are still on the drawing board.
"What I can pledge is our intention to support Strongsville in the same manner we have with the other communities we’ve done business in for over 20 years," he said. "No matter what decision our team ultimately settles on, our goal will be to create a warm and stylish environment, provide guest-focused hospitality and an expertly crafted menu to meet the needs of our patrons."
