New Westfield App Lets You Browse the Mall from Your Phone

Suppose you're looking for a Cleveland Browns jersey.

You can go to  and shop around for it, of course. 

Or you can call up the Westfield Mobile App on your phone, enter the keywords in the new product search feature, and find out in seconds which stores at the mall have it.

Westfield Group, which operates 55 malls in the United States, has launched the first-of-its-kind product search feature, now available via the free Westfield App.

This new feature incorporates the technology of Google Commerce Search, allowing shoppers to browse the merchandise offered by retailers in Westfield shopping centers. 

Product results can then be sorted by relevance, retailer and price. Or you can choose to limit results to a particular store, view larger images of products, read detailed descriptions and compare prices.

The app also provides special retailer offers, movie show times, shopping hours and the ability to remember the location of a shopper's parked car.

The app is now available for iPhone and is coming soon for Android andBlackBerry.
