No Closing Date Yet for Borders
Customers sad to see bookstore go; rush in for bargains

Still, she'll miss it.
"I was just standing here thinking how sad this is," said Cyr, of Olmsted Falls, as she looked over some titles on the sale racks. "When you need a bookstore, you need a bookstore."

The Borders bookstore in Strongsville was hopping Tuesday, with dozens of customers looking for bargains as the chain liquidates its assets.
"It's awful," said Pam, of Brunswick, who declined to give her last name.

She said she buys a lot of books and is taking the closing of Borders hard. "I would never own a Kindle," she said. "I like turning the pages of a book."
Borders it was liquidating all its merchandise and fixtures over the next few weeks.
The company declared bankruptcy in February and closed 200 of its 642 stores nationwide earlier this year, including locations in and Medina. Strongsville’s Royalton Road location, however, was spared during the first round of closures.
Employees at the Strongsville store said this week they do not know when the business will close for good.
Crews yesterday erected a large yellow "Going of of business" banner on the front of the store.
