North Royalton Man Accused Of Social Security Fraud

The Department of Justice says the man may have received almost $30,000 in fraudulently obtained Social Security benefits.

NORTH ROYALTON, OH - A 32-year-old North Royalton man was indicted by a federal grand jury for credit card and Social Security fraud on April 12, said David A. Sierleja, Acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio.

Gregory Kasperski, of North Royalton, was indicted on one count of theft of government funds and two counts of using an unauthorized access device.

Sierleja says that Kasperski fraudulently received approximately $30,000 in Title II Survivors Insurance benefits from the Social Security Administration. Kasperski is also accused of using two credit cards, without authorization, to acquire another $16,000 in goods and services from various entities.

The investigation into Kasperski was conducted by the Social Security Administration Office of the Inspector General. Special United States Attorney Lisa J. Sanniti is prosecuting the case.
