Officer Assigned Permanently To Strongsville Middle School
A designated officer will serve as a School Resource Officer for the middle school, freeing up another officer to focus on the high school.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Strongsville Police have assigned an officer to the Strongsville Middle School to serve as School Resource Office (SRO). This means the high school will have an officer designated exclusively to serving students there.
Officer Michael Mendise will be the SRO at the Middle School. Officer Chris Koenig will now serve exclusively at the High School. Koenig previously covered both schools.
"The safety and security of our children and staff is our number one priority," the Strongsville Police Department said on Facebook. "The mission of the SRO program is to promote school safety by building a positive school climate in which everyone feels safe, and students are supported to succeed."

The SRO program is specifically design to reduce the possibility of violent crime committed both by and against students in the Strongsville Schools. The SROs are responsible for establishing an open communication channel with students, parents, teachers and getting regular feedback from each group.
