The Olive Scene opened in 2011 and was co-founded by Anne Eren, Tracy Lockhart, and Alice Wiegand. After traveling abroad, the three women saw a desperate need to bring higher-quality olive oils to the United States.
“We knew there was better olive oil in the world. We also knew we weren’t getting it here in the U.S.,” says partner Lockhart in a statement. “We have partnered with one olive oil producer/ importer that has set the bar on producing the highest grade of extra virgin olive oil in the world. Using the best of both traditional and modern methods yields the freshest, healthiest, and best-tasting olive oils on the market today.”
