Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:
- Cuyahoga County Public Library patrons will now be able to share thoughts, quotes, trivia, and book recommendations on Overdrive Libby. The Shelf Talkers functionality will allow each library to share literary knowledge with patrons through the app. The new functionality will allow library staff to provide the same in-person experience in a digital space. (Good Reader)
- The Strongsville Public Library Branch will be hosting a Blood Drive on Aug. 26. The drive will be operated through the American Red Cross. About one hour of a resident's time during the drive could potentially save up to three lives. Anyone with questions about the Blood Drive can contact the American Red Cross at 800-733-2767. - A man conducting funeral operations without a license has been convicted. Shawnte Hardin, 41 years old, was found guilty on 31 counts of operating unlicensed funeral services in Summit, Franklin, Lucas, and Cuyahoga County. He was indicted in 2021. (CBS News)
