OVI Checkpoint This Weekend In Northeast Ohio

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said it would conduct a sobriety checkpoint over the weekend.

BROOK PARK, OH — The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Cleveland Post will conduct a sobriety checkpoint over the weekend. The patrol did not say where exactly the checkpoint would be held.

"If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don't let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired," the patrol said in a press release.

The county where the checkpoint will be held will be announced the day before the operation. The morning of the checkpoint, the patrol will announce exactly where officers will be stationed.
