Patton Chosen Senate Majority Floor Leader

State Senator Tom Patton (R–Strongsville) was unanimously re-elected as the Senate Majority Floor Leader for the 130^th General Assembly, a post he has held since September 2011.

“I am honored to have received my colleagues renewed support in selecting me as Senate Majority Floor Leader for the second time,” said Patton. “The Senate has made great progress over the past two years in streamlining state government, cutting red tape, and creating an environment that encourages investment and growth.”

Patton has served in the Ohio Senate since 2008 and served six years in the Ohio House of Representatives before that.

He is chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Highways and Transportation.

Patton will be sworn in as Majority Floor Leader Jan. 7 when the 130^th General Assembly begins.
