Miami Heat went into the playoffs as underdogs and won the fifth-sixth grade rec championship May 19.
The team was seeded 10th out of 12 teams heading into the playoffs, but beat the seventh seed, then the undefeated second seed, the fourth seed and finally the undefeated first seed to take the title.
Coach is Josh Vago, who played on the freshman basketball team. Assistant coach was his dad, Spenser Vago.
