Police Blotter: Pit Bull Attack? Not Exactly

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A reported pitbull attack on Currier Drive Sunday wasn't exactly what it seemed to be.

According to a report, a man was walking his dog about 7 p.m. when a pitbull attacked. He said the dog's owner refused to give him any information.

When police investigated, though, they found the man had actually taken his dog to the Currier Drive house so the two pups could play.

The two dogs got tangled up and the one, a boxer mix, got scared and bit the other, the report said.

The victim dog had blood on his neck but appeared fine, police said.

Suspicious Walker

A resident reported a male walking between houses and in back yards on Admiralty Drive about 9 a.m. Friday.

The woman said the walker was wearing a hood pulled up so that his face didn't show.

He eventually went into a house. Police knocked, but got no response and found nothing disturbed in the neighborhood.

Officer Rescues Dog

A Wheelers Lane resident called for help when her carbon monoxide alarm went off Friday evening.

She said she did not know how to reset it and in all the confusion, her dog ran off.

Police went to the neighborhood to look for the dog, found her and took her home.

Threw What?

Police were called to settle a domestic dispute early Friday when a woman said her husband threw a cigarette rolling machine at her.

When officers arrived, the husband was asleep and the wife said she didn't want him awakened.
