Police Blotter: Delivery from eBay Takes a Bad Turn

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A package a Stratford Circle resident ordered from a seller on eBay arrived Dec. 20 -- empty.

The resident told police he ordered an 1893 silver dollar on Dec. 6 and was notified the package shipped Dec. 16. When the resident picked it up at the post office Dec. 20, he found the coin was not inside -- just an empty plastic sleeve.

He contacted the seller, who said he had taped the envelope shut prior to sending it.
