Police Blotter: Diner Finds Surprise in Sandwich; Cars, Mailboxes Saran-Wrapped
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A caller told police shortly after midnight June 8 she bought a sandwich from the Subway in and found it contained an unexpected -- and unwanted -- topping.
The woman said when she got home and took a bite, she found a serrated knife in the sandwich.
She went to , which kept the knife, a report said.

Police took statements from all sides, but said the matter was a civil one between the parties.
Shrink-Wrapping the Streets

An officer on patrol found cars wrapped with Saran on Albion Road shortly before 1 a.m. June 9, a report said.
About 3 a.m., police found the plastic wrapped around mailboxes and telephone poles on Albion.
Officers cut down the wrap that was blocking the sidewalk.
More Mischief
Lawn ornaments were damaged on Brandywine Drive the night of June 8, a report said.
A report said a neighbor's property was also damaged, and there were pieces of items in the driveway they didn't recognize.
Suit Up
A resident reported finding an orange jumpsuit with "cell block psycho" printed on it hanging from a post in Pine Lakes.
Police removed the suit, which was on a path between Pin Oak and Pine Lakes Drive.
Dogs Aren't Using Indoor Voices
When neighbors complained about barking dogs on Cherry Stone Lane about 11:30 p.m. June 8, police didn't find the pups in the yard.
Owners had left the dogs in the house, but with the windows open.
"The dogs are very loud," a report said. The animal warden is expected to follow up.
Elderly Man Rescued
A witness reported an elderly man wearing a sweatsuit and winter jacket walking on Sprague Road about 2 p.m. June 10.
Police couldn't locate the man. But about 2:30 p.m., they learned from North Royalton police the man was missing from that city.
The man was located in Middleburg Heights. He had walked away from the Patrician Nursing Home.
