Police Blotter: 'Girly' Scream Brings Police to Pearl Road
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A report of a "high-pitched girly scream" took police to the woods near the on Pearl Road about 7 p.m. Nov. 19.
Officers spoke with a man in a car there, who said he hadn't heard anything. They checked the area and left.
The original caller phoned back about 15 minutes later, though, to say the screaming was actually coming from an area near Fallingwater.

Police and the ear-witness walked through the woods in the area, but couldn't find anyone in trouble. The man said the noise sounded like a howl, then a scream, and might have been animals.
Double Theft at Rec Center

Someone stole car keys from a woman's coat pocket at the the afternoon of Nov. 18.
The thief then used the keys to steal her purse from her car.
Police are investigating.
Theft from Car
A man visiting a Stoughton Drive home Nov. 19 came out to find his wallet missing from his car.
The vehicle was not locked.
Theft from Shed
A set of golf clubs and a bicycle were stolen from an unlocked shed on Ringneck Circle the night of Nov. 18.
The bike turned up Nov. 19 in a Cypress Avenue front yard. It was returned.
Kitten is OK
A concerned neighbor called police about a kitten left on the balcony of a Whitney Road apartment Nov. 20.
The kitten was whining, a report said, and the neighbor was afraid someone moved out and left it there.
The tenant said he had brought the stray home, treated if for fleas and put the cage outside. They brought it in overnight when it got cold, he said.
They are not planning to keep it, he told police.
Burglary on Alameda
An Alameda Drive resident called police Nov. 19 to report a burglary that happened the previous week.
TV sets and jewelry were taken.
