Police Blotter: High-Speed Chase Ends with Car in Ditch, Suspects Running
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

The driver of a car that was allegedly weaving on Royalton Road, nearly hitting a truck, failed to stop for a police officer and instead fled at speeds up to 85 mph.
A report said the 1999 Pontiac headed into Columbia Station about 1:35 a.m. Nov. 28 with police following.
With no other cars on the road, the chase lasted about four minutes. Officers found the car in a ditch and the occupants running into a wooded area.

Police from Strongsville and other departments, incuding Olmsted Falls and the Lorain County Sheriff's Department, searched the woods with canine officers for about an hour.
The owner of the car reported the vehicle stolen about 2:45 a.m.

So Loud it Must Be a Drug Deal
A witness reported a drug deal on Royalton Road about 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 after seeing a male leaning into a car.
The caller said the rap music was blasting so loud that the driver and visitor couldn't be having a conversation, and suspected they were dealing drugs.
When police arrived, the radio was not on. They were warned about blasting the music.
Roll of Suspicion
Someone flagged down a Brunswick police officer Dec. 1 to say there was a rolled-up blanket under the Drake Road overpass on I-71 and people were concerned it contained a dead body.
Rage Doesn't Stay on Road
A woman followed a man home to Celianna Drive Dec. 1 and screamed at him after getting into a traffic dispute.
The woman claimed the man let his dog out to charge her car. She hung up when dispatchers told her to leave the area.
When police arrived, the woman became angry with the officers and left.
The man said he was behind the woman in traffic in Berea when the light turned green. She was on her cell phone and didn't go, so he honked his horn. She then brake-checked him, and when he passed her, followed him home.
Theft from Trunk
A laptop computer was taken from the trunk of a car parked at Nov. 27.

Ding Dong Ditch?
A doorbell at a house on The Bluffs keeps ringing at odd hours, a report said.
On Nov. 29, for example, it rang twice at 4:45 a.m., and then the phone rang immediately afterward.
It happens every few weeks, the residents told police.
Police told them the doorbell may have a short, but it it happens again, to call the police right away.
