Police Blotter: Kids Caught "Corning" Neighbor's Yard
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

Police stopped a vehicle with seven teens inside about 12:45 a.m. Jan. 23 at Ellsworth Drive and Waterford Parkway and questioned them about why they were out.
The six girls in the vehicle admitted to "corning" a house -- throwing cans of corn into the yard -- on Ellsworth.
Police took them back to pick up the cans and warned them about the curfew violation.

Officers then called the father of the girl hosting a sleepover to pick up the teens, and also called the father of the teenage boy driving the car and told him what had happened.
Lost Lamb Reported

A passerby asked police to check on a lamb sitting on the sidewalk on Howe Road about 7:20 a.m. Jan. 24.
The caller said he believed it was someone's lost pet.
Police located the animal. It was a deer.
Burglar Alert
A Deer Path Drive woman told police she heard someone at the front door, trying the handle about 10:30 p.m. Jan. 25.
Police checked, but found no one in the area.
Theft from Auto
A wallet was stolen from an unlocked car on Hollo Oval the night of Jan. 22, a report said.
The wallet contained credit cards.
Police to the Rescue
Officers helped out when an elderly man heard a strange noise by his stove and didn't know what to do about it.
One officer pulled the stove out and said it sounded like the clock in the stove was making a grinding noise. The resident said he would call a repairman.
