Police Blotter: Kids Nabbed with Eggs in Brunswick; Thefts Reported

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A few incidents involving damage, eggs and kids in the middle of the night may be related, according to reports.

About 1:45 a.m., a man told police someone threw a full plastic water bottle at his car on Waterford at Drake.

About 2:45 a.m. on Aug. 16, a resident saw two teenagers carrying cartons of eggs on Saratoga Trail, walking toward Boston Road.

And about 4:45 a.m., Brunswick police said they had caught boys responsible for eggings and other damage on the Brunswick side of Boston Road. 

The officers said they believe the teens were also responsible for throwing the water at the car.

Theft from Garage

Two cans of gasoline were reported stolen from a garage on Sassafras Drive Aug. 15.

The residents said they believe the full cans were taken when the garage door was open the previous week.

Trash Cart Taken

A Forestview Drive woman said someone took something that wasn't trash from her curb Aug. 14.

A report asid a metal cart she used to take her garbage to the curb was stolen.

She said she believes a trashpicker took it.

Keyed Up

A Priem Road woman said someone keyed her car the night of Aug. 16.

Kids in the Woods -- Parts 1 and 2

A Prospect Road resident told police Aug. 16 about kids who are going into the woods near her house, building "coffins" in the ground and setting up zip lines.

In an unrelated incident about an hour later, someone saw a group of teens go into the woods off Cook Avenue.

One of the boys was cited for possession of marijuana and another for underage tobacco possession.
