A Day of Music and Parties

Police were called out at least four times on Saturday to quiet down loud people.

About 6:45 p.m., someone reported a man blasting music from his stereo on Whitney Road. Police found he was actually playing a guitar, and was violating the noise ordinance.

He said he'd stop.

About 9:30 p.m., officers asked a homeowner on Steeplechase Lane to tune down the DJ music at his party. He agreed to comply.

A few minutes later, police were called to a 70th birthday party on Pearl Road that was "extremely loud" when they arrived.

There had also been fireworks, a report said. Police warned the homeowner that if they had to return, he would be cited.

And on Shale Brook Way, loud talking and music were reported about 11:50 p.m. Officers found a birthday party under way and warned the residents to keep it down.
