Police Blotter: Man Doesn't Like Swastika; Pedestrian Punches Car; Ammunition Found in Rental

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A woman told police a pedestrian punched her car and tried to grab her during an altercation outside March 24.

A report said the woman and her fiance were driving in the parking lot about 2:20 p.m. when a man walked out in front of them, causing her fiance to hit the brake abruptly.

The pedestrian then started to punch their car, and reached in to try to grab the woman.

She said she wanted to press charges. Police advised her to call if she saw him in the mall rather than approach him.

A man was so offended by a swastika on a product that he went to police with it March 25.

He was told it was a civil matter and advised to contact the corporate office of the company to complain.

Burglary

An electric scooter was stolen from a garage on Widwood Lane late March 22 or early March 23.

A report said the garage door had been left open.

Forgot Your Ammo?

on Pearl Road called police March 23 after employees found ammunition in a returned rental car.

In the vehicle was a fully loaded magazine for a Bersa .45 cal. pistol, a report said.

Police put the magazine into evidence and said they would contact the last person who rented the car.
