Police Blotter: Man Falls for Apparent Scam in Spain, Sends Thousands
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Willow Circle man may have been a little too trusting when someone asked him to help his son's friend.
A caller said the friend was in jail in Barcelona and needed help.
The man sent $2,400 to Spain, then began to think he had been scammed.

He reported the incident to police Feb. 13.

A Windsor Castle resident reported two men in a small SUV driving down the street Feb. 14, with the passenger videotaping out the open window.
Police checked the area, but couldn't find the vehicle.
Slow Driving Reported
A Wilow Lane resident reported Feb. 14 that a car had driven slowly down the three three times and had returned.
Officers located the car and questioned the owner, who said her son and his girlfriend were driving up and down the street because they were bored.
Pricey Property
Someone reported Feb. 15 that a semi truck at a Westwood Drive business had crushed surveyor's equipment valued at $100,000.
Rock Hit
A driver veered into a 200-pound boulder on a lawn on Akita Court the night of Feb. 15.
The car that hit it left several car parts behind. Police called in the city Service Department to clean up the debris.
