Police Blotter: Man Lurking Around Library; and Why is Driver Napping in His Car?
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A patron at the reported June 27 that a man was was wandering in the parking lot, looking in cars about 2:30 p.m.
He then started to follow her, a report said.
Police located the man, who is wanted for a probation violation on a burglary charge in Florida. Florida is not willing to extradite, the report said.

The man is homeless and has been going from motel to motel. Officers warned him to stay in the library, where he was charging his cell phone, and then leave.

Police came upon a man sleeping in his car in a Whitney Road parking lot about 11 p.m. June 27.
When asked why he was there, he said he was sleeping in his car to get away from the noise at his house.
He was warned about being on school property after hours.
Turn it Down
Residents on Barbara Drive complained about loud music coming from Wilma or Nanci Drive about 7:50 p.m. June 27.
Police found the source on Nanci and warned the resident about the noise ordinance. The man said he would turn down the volume.
Yelling Man Sought
A man holding a beer went to a house on Commons Oval June 28 and started yelling at the residents about how "gay girls are ruining the world."
He then left. But a report noted that a few weeks ago, a neighbor had a similar experience with the same man.
Ka Boom
A Drake Road woman reported a loud explosion just before midnight June 27.
Police could not find anything suspicious in the area.
Suspicious Knocking
Someone pounded on the door of a Squirrel Hollow home about 12:30 a.m. June 25.
The resident looked outside, but didn't see anyone. Police couldn't find anyone in the area, either.
Stolen Purse
A woman told police June 28 her purse was stolen from her car while she was at Marc's the day before.
The car was locked, but the window was halfway down, a report said.
Mischief
A cement mailbox on Stag Thicket Lane was damaged the night of June 27.
The residents heard nothing suspicious during the night. The damage did not appear to have been done by a vehicle.
