Police Blotter: Massage Parlor Offended by Caller's Request

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Pearl Road massage spa wasn't happy Feb. 6 when a man called to ask if they provided happy endings.

A report said the man called , 11180 Pearl Rd., about 7 p.m. to ask about their services.

An employee hung up and told him not to call again, then asked police to contact him.

An officer called the number, but there was no answer. A report said he would keep trying to contact the man.

Suspicious Man at Door

A Stamford Court resident was alarmed when a man carrying a clipboard and box got out of a blue van and rang her doorbell Feb. 6.

She did not answer and the man left. The woman called the homeowners association representative, who called police.

Welfare Check

Employees at got worried when a regular customer failed to show up last week.

They told police the man usually comes in three times a day, but they hadn't seen him in a week.

Officers went to the man's house and found he had hurt his back. They relayed the information to the worried staff.

Buzzing Noise

A Woodside Court man told police he was awakened by a buzzing noise about 2 a.m. Feb. 9 and asked officers to check his house.

Officers found the buzzing was coming from a carbon monoxide detector. The unit was malfunctioning, a report said -- there was no leak.

Fire at Trivs

An electrical fire filled 17100 Royalton Rd., with smoke about 11 p.m. Feb. 6.

Two employees at the restaurant who called in the fire were told to evacuate. 

Safety officials found the smoke coming from an air conditioning unit on the roof. The fire was extinguished without incident.
