Police Blotter: Don't Wear Flip-Flops if You're Going to Run; Football isn't Garbage But It's Picked Anyway

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Heritage Trail resident heard noises outside about 11:30 p.m. May 8, then found a flip-flop and heard voices.

A report said kids had been hanging out at a small creek, but ran off. One had probably kicked off her sandals to run away.

Residents on Olde Orchard Road believe a trash-picker took a football that rolled next to the garbage on a tree lawn.

Police said the kids playing with the ball left it near the trash on garbage night May 8.

A trash-picker driving a green pickup truck was seen in the area, and the kids said he took their football.

Police said the man probably did mistake the ball for garbage, but were unable to locate his truck to get the ball back.

Get a Room

A man was found sleeping on a bench at at 2 a.m. May 10.

Police warned him about trespassing and he left the mall.

Car Vs. Trees

A driver went through the intersection at Valley Parkway and Whitney Road about 3 p.m. May 10 and hit some trees.

The driver told a witness he had fallen asleep. He wasn't injured.
