Police Blotter: Thief Breaks into Lottery Store at Mall

An employee at  has been arrested in connection with a break-in at CK Lottery the night of Nov. 25.

A report said someone sawed the locks off the door and stole $210 worth of Ohio Lottery scratch-off tickets.

Detective Lt. John Janowski said the break-in was captured on video and the culprit was identified. He is to be charged with felony breaking and entering.

Christmas Mischief

Residents on two streets reported their holiday decorations were damaged or disturbed.

On Bradgate Lane, a resident came home about 11 p.m. Nov. 26 and found his decorations turned over and unplugged.

The next morning, a Carlton Court woman found her decorations pulled out of the ground.

Stolen Vehicle

A Jeep Liberty was stolen from Westfield SouthPark between 11 a.m. and midnight Nov. 26.

The vehicle was recovered by Cleveland police.

Car Vs. Mailbox

The mailbox was crushed, but may still have won when a car ran it over early Nov. 27.

A report said there were so many car parts left behind, they were able to identify the color and model of the car -- and find it in a Windchester Court driveway.

The driver apparently lost control of the car at the corner of Drake and Misty Lake, striking the mailbox on Misty Lake Drive.

Knock and Run

Someone has been knocking on the window of a Hunting Meadows home at night.

A report said it has happened the last three Saturdays.

Tone it Down

Police were called to Park Lane Drive after four teens started playing on the playground about 9 p.m. Nov. 26, leaving all four car doors open with the stereo blasting.

Officers made all four leave.
