Police Blotter: Woman Reports Someone Doing Something, Figure Out the Rest

An anonymous caller told police to drive by the corner of Boxton Road and Waterford Parkway because of some unusual activity about 8:40 p.m. Nov. 30.

The woman said there was a black man standing there, waiting for something.

She said officers would understand when they got there, but did not want to elaborate because her kids were in the car.

What the man was waiting for will remain a mystery. He was gone when police arrived.

Money Stolen from Church

Someone stole money from , 19419 Royalton Rd., Nov. 27.

An employee said $200 was taken from an unlocked cash box and $50 from her purse, which was in her office.

The cash disappeared between 9 and 10:30 a.m.

A Real Hard Luck Story

Police were called to Pearl Road about 5 p.m. Nov. 28 about a woman who was looking for a ride to Akron.

The woman told one person she had been raped in her sleep by a neighbor who burned her house down. She needed to get to Akron to get her child out of foster care.

She told someone else she was LeBron James' girlfriend and was pregnant.

More Christmas Mischief

A North Wood Trail resident said vandals cut his Christmas lights twice in the last few days.

A report said lights were cut from bushes in the front yard.

Hunting on Pearl?

A man told police he pulled out of about 8 p.m. Nov. 29, saw two deer and then heard a gunshot that shattered his windshield.

When police looked at the car, they found hair in the door and determined a deer had run into his vehicle.
