Police Seek Help Identifying Couple That Took Money
Incident took place Monday at Strongsville fast-food restaurant
Police are trying to identify a man and woman who apparently took money from the counter at , 14944 Pearl Rd., Monday evening.
Detective Steve Borowske said the theft left the elderly victim unable to pay for her medication.
Here's what happened: The victim ordered food about 6:10 p.m. and placed her keys and money on the counter while paying.

She inadvertently walked away without the money.
About a minute later, a man and woman walked up to the counter. Surveillance video shows the man taking the money and putting it in his pocket.

When the victim realized she didn't have her money, she went back to the counter to look for it, then asked the handful of customers in the restaurant if they had seen it.
No one responded. The woman then spent several minutes looking for the cash in the garbage cans.
The money was for the woman's medication, Borowske said.
He said the victim is hoping her money will be returned. She promised no questions would be asked and said she would not seek prosecution if the correct amount of money is returned.
