Possible Overdose Death In Strongsville
Police said they are investigating the possible overdose death of a 23-year-old resident.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Police are investigating a possible overdose death in Strongsville. A 23-year-old man was found dead on Friday morning, according to police call records obtained by Patch.
The 23-year-old's mother found him at 7:30 a.m. on October 4. She told police her son was cold to the touch and had done heroin on October 3, police call records said.
The 23-year-old was confirmed as dead at 7:45 a.m. and then police took over the scene. The body was sent to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office for analysis and to determine the cause of death.

In late August, Cuyahoga County began seeing a spike in overdose deaths. At least 10 people died from drug use between August 18 and August 21. Dr. Thomas Gilson, the county medical examiner, said fentanyl, the heroin analogue, was suspected to be involved in all of the overdose deaths.
