Private Hayrides Available at Chalet

The Cleveland Metroparks is offering a limited number of private haywagon rides for groups at the  Recreation Area in Strongsville this October.

Rides are available on Saturdays, Oct. 8, 15, 22 and 29 and Sundays Oct. 9, 16, 23 and 30 before, during and after the public hours for $145 per wagon. 

Advance reservations are required. Each wagon accommodates 20 to 25 people.

Visitors can also enjoy reserved "dayrides" on Friday, Oct. 14 and 28 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  The "dayrides" are great for preschool trips, senior and family picnics, or business getaways at $85 per haywagon.  

Private, exclusive rental of the Chalet Recreation Area's facility and grounds, including hayrides, is also available throughout October during non-public hours.           

Fall hayrides and square dancing will be open to the general public in October on Saturday evenings (Oct. 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 6 to 10 p.m.) and Sunday afternoons (Oct. 9, 16, 23 and 30 from noon to 4 p.m.). These public rides are on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Chalet Recreation Area is at 16200 Valley Parkway in Mill Stream Run Reservation, between Routes 42 and 82 in Strongsville.
