Raising Cane's May Come To Strongsville

The restaurant — which specializes in chicken fingers — may be coming to a vacant lot on Pearl Road.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — The popular fast food restaurant Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers may soon be coming to Strongsville. The city announced on Facebook that a developer is looking to rezone a vacant parcel on Pearl Road to use as a site for the business.

The parcel is at the northwest corner of Pearl Road and Pierce Drive, across from Boston Market. The rub is that the parcel is currently zoned for general business, and needs to be rezoned for restaurant-recreational services.

Strongsville City Council will ultimately vote on the request. The city's Planning Commission was referred the rezoning request, per standard procedure.

Later in summer or fall, a public hearing will be held prior to a vote being taken.

Should the rezoning be approved, the Raising Cane's location in Strongsville would be the first extension of the brand into Northeast Ohio. The restaurant has several sites throughout central Ohio, particularly around Columbus.
