Seniors Can Learn Safety Tips For Free In Strongsville
The city's Senior Safety Day will be held April 19 and will teach self-defense, how to avoid scams, medication safety and more.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Safety has never been a hotter topic for people than it is right now. Residents want to know how to keep themselves and their families safe. Well, the city of Strongsville is offering a session aimed at the area's more elderly residents and how they can keep themselves protected.
Senior Safety Day will be held April 19 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Ehrnfelt Senior Center, 18100 Royalton Road. The event will feature breakfast and sessions with both Police Chief Mark Fender and Fire Chief Jack Draves.
There will also be vendors selling relevant merchandise and breakout sessions on a variety of topics, Some sessions will cover, for example, medication safety, avoiding scams, weather safety, driving tips, fall prevention, self-defense and more.

The entire event is free but registration for the breakout sessions is required. Registration can be conducted at the Senior Center front desk, according to the city.
Those attend a breakout session will also be entered to win a basket from Around Strongsville.
