Short Change Scammer Hits Strongsville Goodwill

Police released photos of the suspect on Tuesday morning, hoping the public can help identify the scammer.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — A woman pulled a short-change scam at the Strongsville Goodwill, ripping off the store. Police are now asking the public for help identifying the suspect.

Police said the woman came into the store and then orchestrated the short-change scam. For those unfamiliar with short-change concepts, a scammer confuses a cashier with multiple cash-based transactions and ends up walking away with more money than they should.

In the meantime, police have shared images of the suspected short-change scammer. Anyone with information on the suspect should contact Strongsville Police and ask for Officer Hansen. Tipsters can reference report 19-028325.
