Sprague Road Construction Starts Monday
Part of the street will be closed to westbound traffic while crews widen the road and replace sewers and waterlines.
STRONGSVILLE, OH — Work on Sprague Road will start on Monday in Strongsville. The street will be partially closed to westbound traffic during the project.
Cuyahoga County will be handling the construction. Sprague will be widened by county crews and sewers and waterlines will be replaced. Work on the project could last until August 2021.
During the Strongsville construction, crews will close Sprague between Webster Road and W. 130th Street to westbound traffic. Eastbound traffic will be maintained throughout the project, the city said.

Sprague is being widened in Strongsville, Middleburg Heights, Parma Heights and North Royalton. The project will cost more than $7 million, the count said. The majority of funding will come from a combination of the Ohio Public Works Commission and the vehicle license tax fund. The cities are responsible for about 30-percent of the funding.
Construction will happen in two phases, with workers targeting Sprague in Strongsville and Middleburg Heights first.

Fabrizi Recycling will handle the construction for the project. Construction is weather dependent.
