Strongsville Board Of Education Member Resigns

George Grozan resigned his position with the board of education, effective immediately, citing personal family reasons.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — George Grozan resigned his position with the Strongsville Board of Education on Thursday. Applicants for his vacated seat are now being sought by the school district.

Grozan resigned due to personal family commitments, a spokesperson for the Strongsville Schools said. During his six-year tenure on the board, Grozan sat on the Facilities Development committee and played a key part in the construction of the new middle school and the renovation of the high school.

“I’m proud of the fact that during my term, we made facilities a permanent Board Committee so that the ‘brick and mortar’ of our schools will always be a priority. During my time on the school board, we prioritized our kids’ education. We went from having a few outdated computers to becoming a one-to-one District where every student has access to a Chromebook. I’m proud of the way we prioritized extracurriculars, giving kids a chance to play all sports, but especially my personal love, soccer, on proper fields with turf,” said Grozan in a statement.
