STRONGSVILLE, OH — Demolition of the old Jennifer's Restaurant location is underway and crews will soon begin building one of Northeast Ohio's few Culver's locations. The quick casual restaurant should be open in either late January or early February, operators hope.

Doug Lehar is the man behind the restaurant opening. He opened his first Culver's in Avon about three years ago. Strongsville was an easy choice for a second location, he said.

"It’s a great market. We like the community. The city officials were easy to work with," he told Patch.

Culver's will employ between 90 and 100 people when it opens, a mix of part-time and full-time jobs. The restaurant will offer fresh (never frozen) burgers and custards. Customers can drive-thru or dine-in at the Strongsville Culver's.

"We’re a burger place, but we have a lot of other stuff as well. Everything is cooked to order," Lehar told Patch.

Should the Strongsville Culver's find the same success the Avon location has, Lehar and his family have plans to aggressively expand their presence in Northeast Ohio. He told Patch they are considering adding up to 10 Culver's locations over five years, the majority in Northeast Ohio.

"We’re going to keep building as long as we have good solid markets to get into. It’s not just a one and done deal," he said.
