It was announced today that Strongsville High alum Kris Hall could be a Major League Baseball player by 2012.

"Kris throws north of 93 m.p.h., has a power curveball and has always been committed to mastering and perfecting his craft," said SHS varsity baseball head coach Josh Sorge.

"Coming up, we knew he had the potential. I'm really proud of Kris, because he's always worked hard. He's definitely earned this."
In the 2011 season, Hall worked primarily in save situations and appeared in 22 games and 26 innings. He notched eight saves as the Flames finished 51-14 and placed third in the National Association of intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.

Overall, Hall was 4-1. He allowed only 16 hits, while striking out 40 batters and walking 17.
“This is an amazing honor for Kris,” LU head coach Mark Brew says on the school's websit. “We knew he was getting a lot of interest, but to see his name listed as one of the top 100 draft eligible collegiate players speaks volumes about what the scouts see in him. If he pitches well in the spring, this should solidify him as a high draft pick.”
Kris, the son of Jim and Lynn Hall, is a 2009 graduate of Strongsville High School.
