Strongsville High Hires New Principal
Bill Wingler will be the next principal of Strongsville High. The board of education unanimously approved his hiring.
STRONGSVILLE, OH — Bill Wingler has been named the new principal of Strongsville High School. His hiring was unanimously approved during Thursday's Strongsville Board of Education meeting.
Wingler is currently the principal at Brooklyn High School, where he has worked since 2017. Prior to joining Brooklyn High, he was the principal of an elementary school in Cleveland.
“As a resident of Strongsville with children in the district, I couldn't be more excited to be joining the Strongsville High School team. I am honored to be chosen to be the principal at Strongsville High School and to become a part of what is one of the best school systems in Ohio. I am looking forward to working collaboratively with the well respected staff in Strongsville City Schools and using my skill set from over eighteen years in education to support the needs of each individual student,” said Wingler.

Wingler has a psychiatric nursing background and is a registered nurse. He continues to practice nursing on an as needed basis. He lives in Strongsville and has children attending the Strongsville schools.
Wingler replaces Joe Mueller, who resigned as principal after one year.

After initial screening interviews, candidates for the job were interviewed by a panel of current Strongsville administrators, teachers and staff. The final candidates took part in an open forum with Strongsville High teacher, staff and parents from the community.
