The school also earned the Momentum Award from the Ohio Department of Education.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Strongsville Middle School has received both the Overall "A" and Momentum awards from the Ohio Department of Education.

“I am proud of the teachers, administrators, staff, and students at Strongsville Middle School for being recognized with the ‘Overall A’ and Momentum Awards. Equally as important, we are continuing to grow and develop as an overall learning community and providing valuable opportunities and experiences for our students, both inside and outside of the classroom at Strongsville Middle School,” said Steve Deitrick, principal at Strongsville Middle School.

The Overall "A" award goes to schools that received an overall "A" grade on their state report cards. Only 310 schools in the state received the designation, and a measly 10 middle schools in Cuyahoga County were recognized with the award.
