Strongsville Murder Suspect Appears In Court
Jeffrey Scullin, the man accused of killing his mother-in-law, a Strongsville school teacher, made his first appearance in court.

CLEVELAND, OH — Forensic evidence links Jeffrey William Scullin Jr. with the death of Melinda Pleskovic, Scullin's 49-year-old soon-to-be mother-in-law, according to Fox 8. The 20-year-old Scullin appeared in court for the first time Friday morning. His preliminary hearing will be Nov. 13.
Scullin's arrest was announced Tuesday at a press conference by the Strongsville Police. It was there that Chief Mark Fender said that Sculllin had been engaged to one of Pleskovic's daughters and had been living at the family home.
Scullin was charged with aggravated murder and his bond was set at $1 million, Fender said Tuesday.

Police say they found a knife with Pleskovic's blood on it in Scullin's truck, WKYC reported Friday.
Pleskovic was shot and stabbed to death in her home on Blazing Star Drive last Monday. Fender described her killing as "brutal." Fender said the case is still under investigation and the department will not release additional details on the case until the investigation is complete. He urged the public to come forward if they have any relevant information.
