Strongsville Named Best Community For Music Education
The Strongsville City Schools have again been named one of the best communities for music education in the U.S.
STRONGSVILLE, OH — Strongsville Schools have again been named one of the "Best Communities for Music Education" by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation. This is the seventh straight year the district has earned this designation.
Only 754 school systems nationwide were recognized as "best communities" this year. Only 17 Ohio school district received the award in 2020.
“Our district is very proud to be recognized by the NAMM Foundation as one of the ‘Best Communities for Music Education.’ Receiving this award for seven straight years speaks to the consistency and value of music opportunities in our district," ," said Superintendent Cameron Ryba.

To qualify for the award, school districts must answer detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, how the community supports music programs and more. Award-recipients must demonstrate their commitment to music education.
"This recognition is a celebration and credit to our teachers, students, parents, and our entire community. All are a vital part of our successful music programs at Strongsville City Schools. We appreciate this support and recognize the importance and value of a strong, comprehensive music program," said Ryba.
