Strongsville Schools Get Budget Award For 2nd Straight Year
The district was one of only four Ohio schools to receive the Meritorious Budget Award last year.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — For the second straight year, the Strongsville City Schools have been awarded the Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) for the 2017-2018 budget year. The award is given for excellent school budget presentation. Districts that receive the award have allowed a rigorous review of their budget by financial professionals.
“School business officials are responsible for ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, and that the district budget reflects student priorities and needs. The MBA program helps applicants create an accessible, accurate budget that builds trust with their community. This award recognizes districts that have made it clear they want students at the center of their fiscal plan and vision,” said ASBO International Executive Director John Musso in a statement.
Strongsville has received the MBA for two straight years. Last year, the district was one of only four school systems in Ohio to receive the award.
