Strongsville Schools Levy Passes, District Officials Celebrate
School district officials thanked voters for their support and said the funding would be used in a variety of ways.
STRONGSVILLE, OH — Strongsville voters approved a 5.9-mill, five-year levy for the schools on Tuesday. District officials have been thanking the community and celebrating the victory.
“I am proud of how the community came together and supported this levy. Passage of this levy will allow us to provide the very best education for our students. We will continue to ensure that every dollar is used to deliver exceptional educational value,” said Carl Naso, Strongsville Board of Education president.
While results have yet to be certified by the Board of Elections, the unofficial tally shows that 6,446 votes were cast for the levy, while 5,589 were cast against the levy. That means approximately 53 percent of voters were in favor of the levy.

On Wednesday morning, district officials said the levy's influx of $9.3 million would be use to update technology and textbooks, fund extracurricular activities, improve safety measures and maintain transportation and student opportunities. Officials also said the levy should provide financial stability for the district through the 2026-2027 school year.
“Thank you to the Strongsville community, and to the many volunteers who supported Issue 4 going door-to-door, speaking at community events, placing yard signs throughout the community, and endorsing Issue 4 by sharing the positive story of Strongsville City Schools. We appreciate our community recognizing the importance of Issue 4 and approving this operating levy," said Superintendent Cameron Ryba.

"We have, and will continue to work diligently in making sure our District is utilizing taxpayer dollars in a financially prudent manner. Our students deserve the very best education and the passage of Issue 4 ensures that we can continue to provide opportunities, technology, transportation, and other services that our students, parents and community deserves,” Ryba added.
